This Privacy Policy explains how Teleprompter ("we", "us", or "the app") handles information when you use our iPhone application. We built Teleprompter to be simple and privacy-respecting: your scripts belong to you.
In short: Your scripts are stored on your device. We don't require an account, and we don't sell your data. Anything we collect exists only to keep the app running and improve it.
1. Information We Collect
We aim to collect as little as possible. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
- Content you create. Scripts and text you write are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or read your script content.
- Usage & diagnostic data. We may collect anonymized information about crashes, performance, and how features are used, to help us fix issues and improve the app.
- Purchase information. If you buy an optional premium feature, the transaction is handled by Apple. We receive confirmation of the purchase but never your full payment details.
2. How We Use Information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the app;
- Diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse;
- Provide customer support when you contact us;
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Storage
Your scripts are stored on your device. If you enable device backups (for example, iCloud backup), your content may be included in those backups according to Apple's terms and your device settings. We do not maintain our own copy of your scripts.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data only with service providers who help us operate the app (such as analytics or crash-reporting tools), and only to the extent necessary for those services. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. Third-Party Services
The app may rely on third-party services such as Apple's App Store and analytics providers. These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.
6. Your Choices
- You can delete any script directly within the app at any time.
- You can uninstall the app to remove locally stored data from your device.
- You can adjust diagnostic and analytics sharing through your device's system settings where applicable.
7. Children's Privacy
Teleprompter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
